Bamboo Matcha whisk

A matcha whisk (known as chasen in Japanese) is a traditional bamboo tool used to prepare matcha tea. It features numerous fine, curved prongs designed to evenly blend matcha powder with hot water, creating a smooth, frothy texture without any lumps. Using a chasen is essential for the authentic matcha tea ceremony, ensuring a rich, creamy tea experience. 

It is important to moisten your matcha whisk before use and to rinse it thoroughly after use. Allow it to dry on a whisk holder (chasen holder) to maintain its shape. Moistening the whisk helps prevent the fine prongs from breaking easily, ensuring the longevity of your whisk and a better tea preparation experience.
